About Emil Ivanov,
Arco Music violin teacher
I grew up in a musical family where musical training was encouraged from a very young age, so I know from first hand experience the benefits of playing an instrument.
I received a bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University and a master’s degree from Rice University, and have over ten years of experience teaching violin. Besides teaching privately, I served as a violin instructor at LSU Music Academy and teaching assistant at Rice University. I also joined the faculty of the Acadiana Symphony Orchestra and Conservatory of Music (2010 - 2017) where I taught violin and viola in both the traditional and Suzuki methods. In 2016, I was honored to receive an outstanding teacher award presented to me by the Conservatory of Music.
I believe that it's crucial to have an individual approach to each student, so I personalize all lesson plans and take into consideration a student's level, goals, needs and physical abilities. I am passionate about teaching violin and am very proud to see my students develop into music professionals.
